I guess that means that one pound will be 31 bucks as of April when I factor in the new tax of $24 per pound?
That is correct! |

| I already shared my thoughts on this "alternative cig product" in a different thread on this forum. |

And I'm sure the new site owner wouldn't like me to repeat MY thoughts about these fake cigs..... |

Just wanted to thank everyone for their advice - we stocked up on Sagamore to wait for the April 1st flip and see how things would shake out.
RYO in Austin (B&R) did get Sagamore blends back, but the pound bags that we paid $18-ish for ($48.50 for 3, I think) are gone - which, again, we expected. My estimation based on the tax information was that it would go up to around $50 a pound (and that was allowing about $5 for a price raise) - which I was prepared to pay. To my shock as they started restocking and re-posting availability, the prices for a little over a pound (3 6oz bags) went to $76.50. It appears to me as if the new tax was doubled on their stock, or they took the just took the chance that the tax hike gave them to more than double their prices.
While I really liked the blend, I don't like it quite as much as they seem to have assumed I like it, at least judging by the new pricing scheme.
Thanks for pointing me to D&R - hubby and I just placed an order for Vengeur Silver Blend Pipe Cut Tobacco, and we'll see how pipe cut works in the injectors and how we like it. I never smoked D&R blends before so if anyone has advice on what the lightest blend is they have, please feel free to toss more of that advice over here. We basically just guessed based on the description.
Thanks again, everyone. |
