Yes, have been taking steps for the past two years.
Make my own cigarettes with natural tobacco with no additives or preservatives.
Have never smoked FSC/RIP Cigarettes that are being forced on the Public.
~Can you say chemicals?~ I knew you could.
Have used the Tarblock filters, which are good, but would love to have a local access and not only by the internet.
And the bonus, taking these healthier measures, my wallet is much healthier too...
It's a WIN/WIN |

Since I'm already a healthy smoker I don't understand the question.
I've been smoking for just over 40 years now, and while I might not be able to run a marathon (wouldn't want to even if I could thankuverymuch), I'm the healthiest person in my 8-person non-smoking, non-drinking, mostly vegetarian office. I'm the only one who never goes to the doctor while they are always there. I'm the only one who never "calls in" sick, or leaves early because she "doesn't feel well" (all my days off are planned and approved).
I also make my own cigarettes using normal tubes (not those killer "fire safe" cigs) and am stocking up on rolling papers and tubes now before you anti's demand that they also be chemically laced to be "fire safe" (what an oxymoron that is). I've got about 6 months worth already and plan on adding another 2 months worth next week. |

Jeeez, Lynda! Leave some for me!
I smoked RYO American Spirit for years, the cans with a free pack of cigarette papers in the top? Only I use a Topomatic crank machine and Rizla tubes.
So I have boxes and boxes of American Spirit papers. For the long hard winter when we all have to grow our own tobacco and make our own paper. |

| Also saved a bunch of those nice metal American Spirit cans to store my future grow-your-own tobacco in. When the Peter Stokkebye gives out, I'll be ready. |

LOL, jsidney - what I do is cram my papers inside the tins and save the tins [for future gardens!]
I don't particularly like Roll Ups but have a small collection of hand rollers just in case the tubes end up FSC. One of these days I'll figure out how to do those filter plugs with rollers.
Lynda, I need to do what you are doing and buy/store tubes in bulk. Can get 50 cartons of Zen's - my favorites, for @$2 a carton - I think I'll do that this week - thanks for the heads up |

LOL ladies, we are all of the same mind apparently!
I too have dozens of empty AS cans here for the same reason...........storage.
Someone on another forum PMd me about another site http://www.pipesandcigars.com and I 10 boxes of tubes for now (money was tight), though I have about 10 boxes here already so that puts me ahead of the game. They also had flip top cigarette cases for 100's (no one seems to have them) so I got 4 of those.
I only got one roller but will be getting more too. But I also bought some disposable filters to use with the roll ups for I really don't like filterless cigarettes.
My roommate thinks I'm nuts until I showed her and she sees the reason to it now.
Unfortunately we have to start planning ahead AND thinking like criminals in order to ensure that we can still go on enjoying OUR favorite habit.
I pray for the day the anti's choke..... |

Wasn't this whole post started by a shill for Targard Filters?
You know, they might have the answer to the impending problem of FSC tubes. Stick your hand-rolled unfiltered cigarette into a holder with a Targard Filter? Wonder if a Targard Filter will fit into my antique Dunhill holder (that I don't have the chuzpah to use in public unless I want to be superciliously obnoxious).
Hey, Targard Lady! Go over to www.topix.com/forum/business/tobacco where they have a forum that's been running since January, 2007, with 632 comments to date on horrible tasting FSC cigarettes, and tell them about your product. |
