This is my first post, but I figure a forum of smokers would appreciate this story.
This all happened about a week ago. I was driving home from my girls place at about 2 am, through a less than great part of town. I was just driving down the road, minding my own business when I had to slam on my breaks to keep from hitting some crackhead standing in the middle of the road screaming all kinds of nonsense. After I stopped, he runs around to my door and sticks his hand in my truck saying something like "get outa the ***cking car it's mine now foo"! Luckily, I was smoking at the time...so I just put it out right on top of his hand (ouch!). He recoiled, but then lunged back at my door, but this time I was ready. A nice elbow to the face sent him to the ground and I drove off. I needed about 3 more cigs after that!
But yea...smoking ain't always bad! |

Yea...I reported it to the police, but they said they probably won't catch him. They said if he had actually stolen my truck they would have a much better chance of finding him. Oh well, I'm glad he didn't for the obvious reasons, plus I had my laptop with me and it would really suck to lose that and my truck. They told me if they arrest anyone with a burned hand and broken nose they'd call me .
The cop at the station did tell me that as long as I have clean record (which I do), that I should invest in some sort of "protection" if I pass through that part of town with any sort of regularity. He said there are just too many crackheads and not enough cops, a sad state of affairs. I think I may visit the local gun shop when I get paid... |
