Wisconsin did at least one thing right this year. This was taken off the online edition of the St Paul Pioneer Press

MADISON — Barring a last-minute breakthrough, a statewide smoking ban is about to be snuffed out in the Wisconsin Legislature.

The Assembly plans to finish its work for the year today and the smoking ban was not scheduled for a vote. The Senate has likewise not taken a vote on the ban, which has to pass both chambers and be signed by the governor before it becomes law.

Gov. Jim Doyle has been advocating for the ban for months but it met with staunch opposition from the powerful Tavern League lobby. The group did not want the ban to start in bars at the same time as restaurants and other work places.

Oh that's a simple Q. Smoking bans are one part of the antis' goal to have a smoke-free USA. But they can keep on dreaming if they think we WILL have a smoke-free USA.

Smoking bans are a joke. People still keep on smoking, and they sneak their smokes in "gang fashion" at places like Wrigley Field.

After the antis get a smoke free USA, there next target is Alcohol.
You have heard the statement,'There is no safe level of second-hand smoke.'
The next statement you will hear is,
There is no safe level of alcohol.
So, all you compatible non-smokers get off your rear-ends and start to fight NOW..
Because some day the antis will be after something that you might like and enjoy.

c'mon peeps...time to brush up on your smoking activist savvy...I'm the average-jane-angrychick-who-prefers-anonymity-but-refuses-to-be-silent-any-longer-nobody...to the others, however, we owe an enormous debt of gratitude to for their wisdom, research, diligence and devotion to the voice of freedom...pockets we should toss a few cents to, hands we need to shake, and with whom ashtrays we need to share...faces we should kiss for showing up at legislative hearings, documenting truthful research, and making noise with an unkind media while we sit and whine...hint #1 is snowbirds link...
PS...I did get their verbal permission to post this picture and as expected with the company of most smokers I know...they're a damn fun bunch...
Very Happy

Smoking Bans are not just about bans, it is about our freedoms being taken away.It is about control, it is about the government trying to implement control over the citizens and We the people, having no control over our own lives. The more bans and laws that our government makes and forces us to follow, the less control over our own lives we have.We are slowly moving towards a fascist state with the government having full control over our lives and every aspect of it. Look at how many freedoms have already been taken away from us, and look at the laws that are on the books and are being enforced. This nationwide smoking ban is just another example of our government forcing the will of a few elitist people on the many. The very thing that our founding fathers fought against many years ago, and it looks like that same fight will need to be fought again and soon.
