I heard that a driving force in the no smoking laws aboard civil airlines was the result of a man dying either during or shortly after a flight. Does anyone know about this?

As the story goes the man who had a medical problem was seated in the smoking section because there were no more non smoking seats. He requested that a non smoking seat be made available to him. He was denied. He had some kind of reaction on board supposedly caused by the second hand smoke in which he died from.

Is this true? Anyone know about it?

That is so NOT true it is laughable funny. To date there has never been one proven and recorded fatality from second hand smoke. Not one. No one has ever died from secondhand smoke, ever. I challenge you to find one name.

I have never investigated SHS caused- so called - deaths. I felt never the need to! Just watching the news and living every day with my eyes and ears open tells me what is going on. with this I truely beileve that SHS is not a signifigant danger.
