I read that article about the Smoke-Ins where people are gathering to smoke today on Dave Thune's doorstep. That's a great way to send a message to lawmakers. I would like to organize some of these at politican's houses by me. I think that would make a difference. We probably wouldn't be able to smoke on someone's doorstep, but we could all smoke in front of a politician's house on the street if we keep on moving. How about organizing one in Albany in front of George Pataki's house, then one in front of Michael Bloomberg's house. I would pick these two guys, because they seem to be setting the tone for the entire country. When CA and VT had smoking bans, no one paid attention, but unfortunately NY's smoking ban is spreading like a virus. Does anyone have any idea of an organization that would promote something like this? Maybe FORCE would be the best bet. I don't know if RJRT would advertise this, because they would fear that it get violent, but they do a great job telling us who key smoking lawmakers are.
