Boohoo, do you have a link to an article on the subject? Was there a new law passed or something? If so, was it national or provincial in scope?
And by the way, since you're in Canada, let me ask: Do packages sent to you from the US get inspected? Is there really a problem sending cigs to someone in Canada?
And what brand do you smoke anyway? |

ok sorry about the delay all. i heard it on the radio. there is some info on the www.mychoice.ca canadian smoking discussion website. it isnt all native land yet.., and no they werent allowed before, but found out that the native by-laws, allow for them to permit smoking establishments.
i make my own ciggy's. but for taiilor made i like a few american brands, like winston, camel, and marlboro, for canuck cig's i like a few brands, player's is good. du marier, dunhill's a lady gave me one the other day too lol. i just love tobacco.
but try googleing canadian native reservations, and tobacco . i dont have any links sorry all. but check it out.
ok the cigarette shipping. i am not sure about. i know if you buy online customs can charge on a sliding scale i believe. now if somebody is sending tobacco as a gift lets say?. then i am pretty sure customs still taxes it lol. with the stricter security. i think it would be difficult to try it.
i ordered a coat from a military surplus place in america. and had to pay about 20 dollars customs fee on the 19.99 coat. i wasnt about to pay up to 200 bucks for a similar coat.on top of the UPS. i will research this though and see what it involves.
ok i heard that the best way to send tobacco might be UPS ground. i am not sure still exactly how the best way is. but from what i've heard for a person to send someone tobacco, is ups ground. but i do think its up to customs, if they want to inspect packages no matter what is sent. |
