Anyone here ever have problems with a supermatic (blue) with it have voids at the end by the filter?

Well some reason, my machine is getting jammed, tobacco is jamming up on the nozzle. The cutter/blade isn't closing enough, thus causing the jamms. I can compress the tobacco, flip the machine, and use my fingers to push it all the way in. Flip it back over then it will inject just fine..

Well, I was thinking of getting a replacement blade, but I don't know what is off.. Could it be the H bracket that is to short? the mounting holes for the H bracket? or the blade too short? ;/

Maybe I'll just buy a top o matic.. Argh!!

it's off about 1/8 of an inch. The machine is only 3 months old and was doing this since day one. QA inspector must have had his head in the clouds.

That happened to mine, but it doesn't anymore. If it is a problem, switch the setting to 100s. You might have extra in it at the end then.

I taken out the spoon and used a flashlight, I can see the edge it's hitting on the nozzle. The cutter just isn't pushing the tobacco hard enough to make it out the nozzle. When it injects the tobacco, it gets stuck on the nozzle and causes the 1 inch gap at the filter.

I did a lot of research on the "void" problem, from adjusting it so it releases the cig at 2 3/4 inch, I've changed tobacco (gambler, midnight speciel, bugler, balishag, ect ect ect.. I've dried the tobacco out, I read everything.. Then I looked at what can be jamming the tobacco.. I came to the conclusion that it's actually the blade.

If you have a supermatic, when you turn the handle all the way in, flip the machine over check and see if any of the blade is sticking out in the back (by the H bracket) Mine has about 1/8 of and inch that sticks out in the back.

Anyways,

I just went out and bought the Top O Matic. And wow, this thing rocks, It's making perfect cigs everytime, I just made 18 cigs and didn't have one with a gap at the filter.

Since the supermatic was my first machine, I stuck with it, thinkin this is how it' was suppose to be, boy was I wrong ;/

TY for your feedback just the same Wink

Try this before you scrap the" Blue"

After drilling and polishing the cutter I haven't had mine apart. Cool

Mine did that also. Their tech support people told me it was a bent h-link. I said it doesn't look bent, but they said it was. I sent it to them for repair and adjustment at an outrageous shipping cost. When I got it back, it worked, but was still very stiff. While the Blue was out, we bought a Top-O-Matic since we couldn't find another Blue. What a difference with the TOP. You could crank the handle with two fingers and a thumb. I put the freshly repaired Blue on eBay, and have been with TOP ever since.
