Give it time. A divorce and a 2-pack a day habit are right around the corner.

ha ha ha. You're funny, smoking guy. I guess that's my answer. I wanted to know that you really aren't the apathetic, spiritually lazy, chip-implanted prototype that makes up America. I was hoping there might be a spark of hope within you, but I guess between the two of us, I'm the only one who cares about you. I can admit I have a reluctance to accepting life as it is. I am working on being able to exist in the world without being of it, looking for freedom from constraints, limitations and outside control. I guess I finally have to admit that I am forced to share the world with people like you, the very opposite of all that is good, without being able to help you see the light. Smoking is a way of stopping your breath, and therefore, not being fully alive. It's a sad existence. Good luck to you.

I didn't know LM stood for Jesus Christ. Thank you, though, for pointing out that smokers are the very opposite of "good" people who spend their time proselytizing like you do. Where would the world be without you to care for it? Indeed, how have I even survived lo these many years without "LM" to assist me in seeing the light of her ways.

What the hell was I thinking?!?!?! Why am I not you!?!?!? I shall try to follow your path from now on.

Why does your husband have to be remorseful? All he has done is make choices for himself. Smoking is not some evil crime, it is just a choice. You choose to drink a glass of water. I choose to occasionally smoke tobacco. Tobacco is a part of nature you know, not some evil creation by cigarette companies.

You cannot make choices for other people. If you want to help people, be kind not judgemental. You shouldn't just assume that all people who smoke tobacco are horrid people who care for nothing. I am not morally and spiritually bankrupt just because I smoke.

Your arguement about air pollution from smokers is nonsense. Tobacco is simply plant life being burned. In fact, the jury is still out on many of the 'harm' allegations regarding smoke.

Comrad LM again asserts her Socialistic tendancies:

Quote:
It seems like you are yearning for something to rebel against, by professing your undyingly individual existence and the desire to be a nonconformist. I am hereby inviting you to do that by turning from the corporate government that sold you this addiction, all tied up in a pretty red white and blue package marked "Liberty". It seems that by buying into their product, you are conforming, just like they wanted you to.

Understand that the difference between "the collective" and the individual IS LIBERTY!

A great Patriot once said "Give me Liberty, or give me death"

A few of us understood what he said, and that he MENT IT!

Your smoke adds to the air that others consume. Multiply your smoke times the millions of others who do it and there's a massive assault on the environment.

I makes more sense to say that all people are welcome at a certain establishment. However if you want to stand on the tables and scream loudly, that is inconsiderate and you can't do that here. Likewise, if you want to blow smoke on people, you'll have to go somewhere else.

LM, please tell us how "our" smoke is hurting your precious air that you have not a problem with car exhaust, factory smoke, and the deadly gas you breathe out on a daily basis? Also, why on earth would you be spending that much time in a restaurant that "our" smoke would be harming you? Aren't you afraid of the germs, the chemicals that are used in cooking and cleaning, and the #1 cause for premature death in America - fat??? Also, last time I checked, when I sit in the "Smoking" section in a restaurant, blowing smoke in people's faces was not common practice. In fact, the majority of us blow it towards the ceiling where the vents are. Now granted, we all would LOVE for antis to start making a scene to spice up the night and provide entertainment, but we're just not that sadistic - YET! That is until the bans take place . . .

I want to know what is so great about smoking that does not hide behind "My rights as an American" or some other bullshit. Give me the core, tell me what you're really feeling. Do you honestly feel good about your health? don't you think the state of your body is important?

I personally love smoking. It feels good for one. Nothing tastes better after a satisfying meal or great sex than a drag on a cig. I also tend to get emotional (the chromosome thing) and a cigarette centers me. It reminds me that I have no one to answer to at the end of the day but myself, I am in control of my life in every aspect. In this crazy day and age where Big Brother is knocking down our doors, I like to know there is SOMETHING I still have control over. And now it seems that everyone else 'knows what's good for me' and it is my rebellion. ONLY I know what is good for me. The health aspect can be questionable still, many doctors and scientists are still researching the true effects even on the smoker, let alone second-hand smoke. Besides, even if it does kill me, isn't that MY choice? I'm not hurting you, so please leave me something to enjoy.

I'm glad to see there are females (like you) who smoke and are d@#n proud to be smokers. If there's a such thing as a Women's SMOKING Rights group, you would make a good leader.

I'm not in love exactly (LOL) but I do love seeing a female who's a lot like me in terms of the smoking topic. Smile

That sounds like a great idea, A WOMEN'S SMOKING RIGHTS GROUP Exclamation

What do you think Libby? Let all your friends know about Smokinglobby.com and we'll all work together at beating the HN's (Hellth Nazis).
