Well I have a plan....
We all cross dress and light up in the bar of our choice
Think of it as Halloween to deal with it |

Not to be a stick in the mud but have you ever considered the possibility that the many warnings of an apocalypse are not for you?
Who worries about the "end times" but those who've been lying, cheating, stealing and killing? Really now, if you're a live and let live type, then you have no worries/concerns. |

Well, I have to say, I certainly agree with that.
I think, too, apocalypse or not, these antis think they are putting off the time when their number is up....
Now, that would make think they are God.
Well....there you go. Right now they do.
Here's the root of the antis' mental health problems.
However, from the old Biblical stories, we remember what God did to the one who said "I will be like the most High"..... |

Nice posts MO2 and Columbus Musician.
I think, too, apocalypse or not, these antis think they are putting off the time when their number is up....
The mayan indians had a calendar that was pretty much accurate with everything in the sky. They only figured it up until a certain date. That date is December 31, 2012.
Some think this is the end times, some others say the mayans said this was the beginning of the age of enlightenment.
Then again, the mayans are, or were just about wiped out.
As far as "Revalations," I've always wondered if someone actually saw something, used an incredible display of common sense or if there isn't some people trying to fulfill all these prophecies. |

I don't have a grey beard, wear sandals or a robe but...if in the state that I grew up in, Geese and Transexuals are protected minorities while people who choose to smoke tobacco are sent to concentration camps (outside in the cold) than that is my personal sign of the apocalypse.
But at least the geese and the trannies will be safe in their bomb shelter.

I've always wondered that, too.
I am not overly religious, but I've always read that..no one knows when, but we sure have plenty of people who like to take guesses at it.
However, the collective mindset of this banning does make one wonder a bit. Like it is "an audition" for something bigger.....and worse.
Where's the good old attitude of "mind your own business, and I'll CONTINUE to do the same."
I sure like that better. Growing up in the 60's/70's and now looking at what kids have to deal with today with too much freedom in some ways and not enough in others, it is amazing how different it gotten in the last decade or so.
Seems since about the mid 90's.
I don't remember the 80's being so oppressive or the early 90's for that matter.
Hope this nanny cycle burns itself out soon. They've had their little "decade of destruction" and it's time for them to shut the hell up, live in their separate utopia and see that it isn't all it is cracked up to be.
Their presence on the forums....after they have gotten what they THINK they wanted says quite a bit as to what they're made of.
(Hey, I still don't believe the last word has been spoken on all this in Ohio.....they probably know that too.....at least with this in mind.....it is no wonder they are still kicking around the forums. ) |

Dude, these kids today are rebelling against the nanny state big time. I've never seen so many High School kids smoking. I'm not necesarily happy about it. But when some people like JRS and NIME get online and say "Hey kids, if you want to be like me, don't smoke", what do you expect them to do? I would run out and buy a pack of Marlboro Reds before the gayness and goofiness rubs off on me.
Here's a trivia question for you CM. If it's to easy for you let somebody else answer it. Let's play name that tune:
What band/singer/philosopher/poet wrote this: (I'll leave the chorus out since it makes it too easy)
New blood joins this earth
And quickly he's subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he's known
A vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away
...
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me |

I didn't know that one, sorry.
I looked it up though...so that isn't fair.
I'll let someone else take a guess. |

Kind of like the PKs that go agnostic/atheist, if the upbringing was far right wing.
Marilyn Manson comes to mind. Guess he went to one of those really uptight right winger schools.
Don't know his religious outlook and don't really care, but I know he went to this crazy far right school somewhere around Canton, Ohio. |

I thought it was obvious for you. I didn't mean to make you waste your time looking it up. It's been a few years since Metallica sold out. Now they sound like Winger or Bon Jovi.
The Unforgiven
[HETFIELD/ULRICH/HAMMET]
New blood joins this earth
And quikly he's subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he's known
A vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub the unforgiven
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub the unforgiven |
